This Might Not be "How to Get A Job in The Gaming Industry..."

but you have to start somewhere...

Thanks for the overwhelming response to this…I’m calling it a personal project. I hope that I don’t let you down, and I’m open to feedback to improve this experience.

I promised no anecdotes, so please indulge me for a moment. I was thinking of ways to help the tech and game dev community specifically:

  • interviewing tips are useful but they they require specificity

  • resume tips are the same: they should be specific

  • anecdotes and stories about recruiting are interesting but…they don’t help anyone looking for work…

The only way I could see to help my massive network was to share important information for them to have a chance at a job...and it starts with throwing your hat in the proverbial ring. You can google all the job sites, and I figured something more useful for you would be an aggregated list of jobs, sorted by discipline. So here is my assistance to you in getting your next job 😃

Google Sheet: 1100+ Jobs!!

To maximize time, I decided this first iteration would be a Google sheet that I’m sharing with you. The lists were so long that Beehiiv gave me a warning that most email servers would flag it as spam! I’ll see about a sustainable method to improve on this in the future. For now, if you’ve subscribed, then I’ve given you access to a list of 1100 jobs, sorted by discipline. I’m looking for ways to improve this for you so please, I welcome feedback!
